SAN FRANCISCO — In a move designed to streamline user experience, Bluesky has introduced a new 'Pre-Hacked' version of its platform, offering a curated set of features previously only accessible through obscure workarounds or dedicated online tutorials. The company stated the update aims to make the platform 'even more welcoming' for individuals who simply wish to post their thoughts without first becoming amateur software engineers.
“We heard our users loud and clear: they wanted to enjoy the platform without having to consult a 10-point listicle titled 'How to Not Hate Bluesky,'” explained lead product manager, 'Chad' Johnson, during a press conference held entirely on Bluesky. “Our new 'Pre-Hacked' tier automatically implements critical functionalities like 'seeing replies in order' and 'not accidentally following a bot farm.' It’s revolutionary in its simplicity.”
The premium service, priced at a modest $4.99 per month, also includes the much-anticipated 'Direct Message' feature, which will now function without requiring users to compile a custom API script or sacrifice a small goat to the server gods. Industry analysts praised the move, noting it finally brings Bluesky’s user-friendliness on par with social media platforms from 2008.
Early adopters of the 'Pre-Hacked' version expressed cautious optimism. “It’s nice not having to Google 'Bluesky block list hack' every morning,” said user @DigitalNomad420, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of losing access to their carefully curated custom feeds. “Though I do miss the thrill of discovering a new, essential feature that should have been there all along.”
