TEHRAN – The Voice of America's Persian service has reaffirmed its commitment to bypassing the Iranian regime's communication restrictions, ensuring that the nation's populace receives a steady stream of highly speculative and often contradictory information directly to their homes. Amidst widespread internet shutdowns and media blackouts, VOA Persian has reportedly redoubled its efforts to broadcast content ranging from 'Operation Epic Fury' updates to premature reports of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's demise.
“Our mission is to provide unfiltered information, and sometimes that information is just… whatever we heard from a guy on Telegram,” stated Brenda Albright, a VOA spokesperson, from a secure location in Washington D.C. “We believe in the power of free thought, even if that thought is, ‘Is the Supreme Leader actually a lizard person, and if so, how many times has he died this week?’”
Analysts suggest the strategy aims to keep the Iranian public engaged, even if that engagement involves a constant state of bewildered confusion. “It’s a bold move,” commented Dr. Cyrus Vance, a geopolitical communications expert at the Institute for Advanced Punditry. “By delivering content that often contradicts itself within the same broadcast, VOA is essentially training the Iranian populace to critically evaluate all information, including their own broadcasts. Or, you know, just making them switch to state TV out of sheer exhaustion.”
Sources close to the operation indicate future broadcasts may include 'exclusive' interviews with anonymous sources claiming to have seen the Supreme Leader both dead and alive simultaneously, alongside detailed breakdowns of obscure QAnon drops. The goal, according to Albright, is to ensure that when the regime finally falls, Iranians will be well-versed in every possible alternate reality.
